SHELDON CONCERT HALL
The Sheldon was built in 1912 as the home of the Ethical Society of St. Louis. Musicians, public speakers and the public throughout the years have enjoyed the perfect acoustics of The Sheldon Concert Hall, earning The Sheldon its reputation as "The Carnegie Hall of St. Louis”. But, something else seems to be happening in the historic building that’s not on the event calendar. Is it haunted? Let’s find out!
You are invited to join members of the Sheldon staff and the Gateway Regional Investigations of the Paranormal (GRIP) to conduct a paranormal investigation of the 112 year old Sheldon. PILOT KNOB STATE HISTORIC PARK
Paranormal Investigation of the Battle of Pilot Knob State Historic Park
On September 27, 1864, an 8,000 man Confederate force attacked the Union’s Fort Davidson located in Pilot Knob. MO. The attack was unsuccessful and the brutal battle resulted in the killing or wounding of 1,000 Confederate troops, while the Union forces suffered less than 100 killed or wounded. If the attack on the fort had been successful, the next Confederate objective was to attack St. Louis.
We know the history but what other stories are waiting to be discovered? How haunted is this historic Civil War battlefield? This is your chance to find out! Join members of the Pilot Knob Park Staff and the Gateway Regional Investigation of the Paranormal (GRIP) to conduct a paranormal investigation of the Battle of Pilot Knob State Historic Park. You will have the opportunity to investigate the museum, battlefield and Fort Davidson using paranormal investigation equipment provided by GRIP or you can use your own.
CORN COB PIPE
FACTORY
Missouri Meerschaum Company in Washington, Missouri, has been in business for 143 years. It was the first commercial producer of corn cob pipes and continues to produce pipes daily. The factory was built in 1883.
Some say that a building or location will absorb the energy from events that have taken place there over time, both good and bad. Given all of the historical and personal emotional events that have taken place in the factory over the past decades, it’s easy to understand why the factory staff says, “It’s as haunted as it is historic!”
You will be led by knowledgeable members from the factory and GRIP team as you investigate the three darkened floors of the factory to try and validate past events or possibly discover new ones. GRIP will provide guests with basic paranormal investigation equipment that will include infrared cameras, EMF meters, and temperature monitors to help document your experiences.
MONROE COUNTY HISTORICAL MUSEUM
Paranormal Investigation of the Monroe County Historical Museum in Waterloo, IL
Is it haunted? Let’s find out!
GRIP Paranormal invites you to join them in conducting a paranormal investigation of the Monroe County Historical Museum.
The Museum opened in 2008 and is filled with historical artifacts representing the settlement of the west, agriculture, local commerce and transportation, several wars and much more. Since then, the Museum has been the site of many community events. But, something else seems to be happening in the historic building that’s not on the event calendar. What is its paranormal attraction? It seems that many of these artifacts act as “trigger” items that bring in “visitors” from the past. For example: Who is still visiting the General Store exhibit? What is the attraction to a former Governor’s bedroom suite? Who is still playing near the Girl Scout and Boy Scout uniform display? And, who keeps knocking items off of the various shelves? Is it haunted? Let’s try and find out!
During this event, you will have the opportunity to investigate the darkened recesses of the entire Museum and its displays with members of the GRIP team, or you can investigate on your own. GRIP will offer guests the use of paranormal investigation equipment that will include infrared cameras, K2 meters, dowsing rods and temperature monitors to help you document your experiences. You can also use your own equipment!

Bluff
Grange
The Bluff Grange in Millstadt, Illinois, was built in 1922. It is not your typical ‘haunted house’. Sometimes it’s the small, unassuming places that offer the out of the ordinary paranormal investigating experiences and opportunities. For decades, the Bluff Grange has served the Millstadt area and is known for hosting family events and being the home of the “Fencers of the Corn” fencing team. The Bluff Grange members will tell you that nothing “bad’ has happened in the building.
After several paranormal investigations by GRIP and the Bluff Grange members, the building acts as a “pass through” for the victims of local unmarked graves, tragic accidents and the curious drawn to the site to tell their stories to those who can hear them. New stories are discovered with every investigation. You will have the opportunity to join in with the GRIP team as it conducts investigations and tries to make spirit contact on each of the two darkened floors of the building. Or you can investigate on your own.
GRIP will offer guests the use of paranormal investigation equipment that will include infrared cameras, EMF meters, dowsing rods and temperature monitors to help document experiences. You can also use your own equipment!
